After Alan received his Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa, he spent a few years as an associate engineer at Schaeffers Engineering before his drive for entrepreneurship caught up to him and he started an environmental engineering consulting firm called Greenland.
In conjunction with this land development consulting group, he also expanded his breadth of knowledge to the planning and construction of new homes.
Since founding Greenvilla in 1994, Alan has overseen the construction of over 25 built subdivisions and over 1000 low rise homes in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the approval of development of over 1000 acres of raw lands on which over 4500 homes were built, and over $300,000,000 worth of construction in total. Alan uses his decades of experience with real estate industry in the GTA to guide the projects he oversees from inception to completion, in addition to guiding real estate investors and prospective homebuyers as a GTA real estate investment advisor.
Atop fulfilling a passion for golf, Alan dedicates his time outside work to serve the Chinese community as the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto, an organization with which he has been actively involved for the past 20 years As the Chairman of the Building Committee, Alan also oversaw the planning and construction of the 625-seat theatre and 8,000 square foot multi-purpose hall, staking the CCC’s claim to the title of largest Cultural Center in North America.
Andrea's Bachelors and Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Waterloo have allowed her to approach Building and Developing with a different perspective from the norm. After working for a number of large architectural firms in Toronto, Andrea lends her expertise to the Planning and management side of the company.
Andrea is a member of the BILD Membership Committee and is actively involved in the organization in an effort to improve and expand female representation in the building industry.
When not in the office, Andrea can be found walking her goldendoodle Gemma, or engaging in some competitive court volleyball.
As a former RBC manager, Paul brings with him a bevy of knowledge on the successful procurement and management of construction loans and mortgages critical to the development process.
Paul's keen sense of budgeting and scheduling make him an essential part of this team. On top of that, he is heavily relied on to oversee contracts, legal agreements, and proposals to ensure that Greenvilla is in the best position to carry out our services.
Whether by choice or by fate, Paul has himself become quite the handyman and can be found in the garage or backyard working on the next home improvement project.
